Philosophy
The goal of the Guidance Department is to nurture Blessed Trinity students' academic and emotional development.
Our department places a great emphasis on creating an atmosphere in which every student is encouraged to succeed and an environment where all people are treated with respect. We strive to help our students recognize his/her special talents and gifts. The department encourages the development of an independent, responsible, and moral student who can enhance the Blessed Trinity community and be an outstanding citizen of the world.

Attention Class of 2011 Seniors!
If you are applying Early Action to the University of Georgia or the University of South Carolina, our deadline is September 15, 2010. All other Early Action/Early Decision, Regular Decision for the University of Florida, and all applications with a November 1 or November 15 due date are due in Guidance by October 1, 2010. All Regular/Rolling Admission applications are due to us by November 12, 2010.

HOPE Scholarship Information
If you plan to attend college in the state of Georgia and take advantage of the HOPE Scholarship, you must complete one of three forms beginning January 1 and usually due by March 1:
1. Recommended: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – Available online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or in the counseling office. This form qualifies you for the HOPE and for all Federal need-based financial aid.
2. You can apply only for the HOPE Scholarship via an electroninc form called the GSFAPPS at http://www.GAcollege411.org
3. You can also download a paper HOPE Scholarship and Grant Application to mail in at www.GAcollege411.org.

TCCi Family Connection from Naviance enables our guidance office to offer a comprehensive website that students and parents can use to help in making decisions about colleges and careers. We will use this program to track and analyze data about you student's college plans. It provides up-to-date college information that is specific to our school.
We have provided the juniors and seniors with a personal access code and instructions for accessing Naviance. We hope that you will find this resource helpful. If you have further questions about TCCi Family Connection, please contact us.
